Rubus Ulmifolius

Day 104 of my 365 Photo Challenge.

Today’s photo is dedicated to blackberries.
I found this specimen on one of my morning tours along the local lakes.

The rising sun caressed the unripe fruits of the blackberry and separated them from the background.

The lens I used was my Nikkor 70-200 mm F5.6 VR. This time again, I did not use a tripod, because there was enough light available and I could concentrate on choosing the ideal shooting angle.

Hope you like the photo!

Rosa rubiginosa

Day 50 of my 365 Photo Challenge.

Today I took the opportunity of a small weather improvement to photograph the remaining spring flowers again. Initially, I planned to take more pictures of wildlife in the local floodplains, but due to the approaching rain, I had only a short time window.

It was so short that I didn’t even find the time to change the lens. So I had to use my Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 lens to take this shot of the sweetbriar rose freehand.

It was a bit surprising how sharp the image became in the end.

Now I just have to get used to the relatively long distance for the close-up limit of the lens, then the photos succeed right at the beginning.

I wish you all a peaceful start to the week.

Syringa Meyeri

Day 44 of my 365 Photo Challenge.

Today I could only spend minimal time for my Photo Challenge due to professional requirements. Therefore my dwarf-scented lilac had to be the motif today. Fortunately, we had great weather, and the sun shone with very soft light.

I concentrated on the flowers directly, which I separated from the background with a large aperture.

The soft green in the background and the pink flowers harmonize perfectly.

Also this time I refrained from using a tripod to find the best shooting angle.

Hope you like the image!

Bob the Minion

Day 34 of my 365 Photo Challenge.

Today’s image features a painted rock, portraying „Bob, the Minion“.

As already mentioned in one of my previous posts, the painted Rocks are an initiative of the local schools and kindergartens to stimulate young kids during the CORONA pandemic.

Hope you enjoy the smile of the little fellow and get delighted by him!

Prunus laurocerasus

Day 27 of my 365 Photo Channel.

Since the weather is still very changeable, I limited my motive search today to the immediate vicinity of my house. Luckily, there are enough plants in my garden, which I haven’t photographed yet.

Now, due to the rain, the plants are sprouting their flowers and leaves.

I just had to wait until the sun was covered by thick clouds again and then take a close-up with my Nikkor 70-200mm F2.8.

I think I hit the laurel cherry well!
