As a secondary purpose, it serves flood protection, low water elevation and the generation of electricity from hydropower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dam offers a vast range of photo motives of the most different kinds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also shows its charm in all seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The picture shows the starter, which is located about 4.5 km before the main dam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I can only recommend everyone to include this place on one of their next holiday destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here the link to the website of Nordhalben, which is an ideal starting point for tours around the dam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nordhalben.de\/Tourismus-Erholung.5.0.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/www.nordhalben.de\/Tourismus-Erholung.5.0.html<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Day 110 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
