Rain clouds over the Stubaier mountains
Day 118 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
After a rainy night, the weather cleared up in the morning, and nothing more stood in the way of my tour to the Schwarzseekogel (2931 meters). But it must be noted that the weather forecast predicted rain again already at 14:00.
The ascent was via the Giggijoch (2200 meters), the Rotkogel hut (2660 meters) along the Schwarzsee to the summit of the Schwarzkogel.
Unfortunately, I could not reach the summit because of the heavy rain.
Nevertheless, I managed to take pictures of the opposite mountain range during the ascent, which were partly covered by the rain clouds.
A spectacle of a particular kind!
The photo shows Windacher Daunkogel (3330 meters), which was hiding in the clouds, as well as the Wilden Leck (3359 meters) in the left part of the picture. In the right part of the photograph, the Stubaier Wildspitze (3341 meters) rose.
I have to say that today I find it especially difficult to carry the heavy camera equipment in addition to the high mountain equipment.
You just notice that you are getting old slowly!
