Franconian Forest – Enjoying a fantastic View over the River Saale Valley.

Day 146 of my 365 Photo Challenge

After returning from the far north, I headed straight back to the north of Bavaria, this time exploring the Franconian Forest.

After all, I was born there, so it’s like a visit home. But I am always amazed by the beauty of nature there.

I took this photo from a vantage point on the Petersgrat, from where you have a great view over the Saale river valley.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Baltic Coast – Castle Gluecksburg during a rainy day

Day 141 of my 365 Photo Challenge.

Unfortunately, due to a heavy workload, I couldn’t continue posting for my 365 Photo Challenge. Now with the new lockdown in place, I have the time to catch up with the reposting!.
Right after my return from the Isle of Fehmarn, I had to repack my suitcase and headed up north again. This time, I went to the Baltic Coast in the vicinity of Flensburg. One of my first motifs was the Castle Gluecksburg, which has an adjacent lake next to it.
So, I had the chance to frame the castle with its reflection. The incoming rain provided a dark and dominant sky.

I hope you enjoy the image as I do!

The Isle of Fehmarn – Time to say Goodby to the Baltic Sea

Day 139 of my 365 Photo Challenge.

Now it is time to say goodbye to Fehmarn.

My two weeks are now over, and tomorrow I start my journey home to Bavaria.

For the last time, I visited the lighthouse Flügge at the southern beach of Fehmarn.

I was lucky, just as I was about to take the picture, a flock of wild geese passed the lighthouse. This gave the composition that specific something.

You have to be lucky!

The Isle of Fehmarn – Impression from the Northern Coast

Day 137 of my 365 Photo Challenge.

This time, another Sea view of the Isle of Fehmarn.

For this image, I visited the northern coast of Fehmarn. Long and empty beaches were inviting for endless walks.

There, you can feel the flair of the Baltic coastal landscapes, particularly intensively.

I especially liked the in the wind moving grass of the beach, which contributed to the idyllic atmosphere.
