View over the Haleakala Crater, giving the impression to be on another planet than the earth! Colours are changing continuously due to clouds and the position of the sun.
Haleakala Crater looms 10,023 feet above the Pacific Ocean. It emerged from the ocean floor more than a million years ago, when the Pacific Plate drifted over a hot spot—“plumes of super-heated rock”.
One of the moments in Life, where everything just runs soothly! Early morning shoot along the Northern Coast of Maui, capturing the glowing of the rising sun and the slowly disappearing moon!
Sometimes you need to have luck!
Remembering my trips along the Northern Coast of Maui, utilising our rental car to ist full offroad capacities! Since I drive a Jeep by myself, I though it would be good to feature it in the right manner!
Memories from the Isle of Maui, on which we stayed for more than 5 days. Such a lovely isle, lots to see and to photograph! So stay tuned in, and watch for future images.
The North Shore of Oahu is known for its giant waves and rough weather conditions! However, it is such a great experiences to feel this stormy conditions by myself!
Saying good by to Oahu and heading for Maui. Stay tuned for another series of images.
Impression of a wonderful sunset at Waikiki Beach. People gathering to watch the slowly disappearing sun behind the horizon.
Just a dream location!
It is always fantastic to walk through a winter wonderland! This year, we seem to have the luck that snow has also arrived on our location.
I hope the snow will stay for a while!
Today, I was reflecting on my last trip to Hawaii, which was an outstanding experience!
I took this image at Waikiki Beach shortly after a big rainstorm. You are still able to see the big rain clouds, moving fast in Sky. Luckily, I was able to keep my photo gear try and not drowning it on my first day on Oahu!
I hope you enjoy the fantastic view!
Day 146 of my 365 Photo Challenge
After returning from the far north, I headed straight back to the north of Bavaria, this time exploring the Franconian Forest.
After all, I was born there, so it’s like a visit home. But I am always amazed by the beauty of nature there.
I took this photo from a vantage point on the Petersgrat, from where you have a great view over the Saale river valley.
I hope you like it as much as I do!
Day 144 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
This morning I set off for the nearby forest. I was lucky, and the weather was on its best side.
The air was clear due to the icy temperatures, and the rising sun sent its rays without being dampened by clouds.
This constellation created this unique spectacle of light rays and mist.
It reminds me of the saying: The early bird catches the worm!
