Muscari botryoides
Day 9 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
„Small grape hyacinth.“
Thinks are running quite smoothly with my photo challenge. Ideas are still coming up quick in my mind. I hope it will continue like this over the whole year. Although I have to say, the corona crisis and the lockdown making it quite easy because I don’t need to commute every day into work.
Let us shift focus back to my motif for the 9th day. Since one week, I was curious about the little blue flower, growing isolated in the thicket of the undergrowth of our backyard garden.
So I took my camera and my Nikon 70-200 mm AF-S 2.8 and captured a portrait of it handheld.
Luckily, the scene was covered in the shadow, making exposure very easy. Nevertheless, I slightly underexposed it by 1/3 Stop via exposure compensation.
The ISO I set to auto and used 1/400 sec as shutter speed, ensuring sharpness in the image.
Since I used a telephoto lens, I did not care much about the background blur, knowing that the Nikon 70-200 will create a beautiful bokeh by itself.
Instead, I set the Aperture to F8 for a decent depth of field.
So, you can see, sometimes you only need to employ a few comfortable setting to create a new image!
