Taken during a rainy day on the Baltic Coast.
I just liked the way how the Castle Gluecksburg was mirrored on the surface of the calm lake!
Day 144 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
This morning I set off for the nearby forest. I was lucky, and the weather was on its best side.
The air was clear due to the icy temperatures, and the rising sun sent its rays without being dampened by clouds.
This constellation created this unique spectacle of light rays and mist.
It reminds me of the saying: The early bird catches the worm!
Day 143 of my 365 Photo Challenge
This morning I was up early to capture the sunrise on the Baltic coast.
As it is already freezing in the morning’s early hours, a great fog formed, which created a diffuse atmosphere in the photo.
Simply wonderful! It was worth getting up early!
Day 142 of my 365 Photo Challenge
Another day on which I remained at the German Baltic Coast. This time, a boathouse caught my eyes.
With its red roof and light wooden walls, the boathouse blended into the surreal surroundings, which were enhanced by reflecting the trees and the boathouse onto the lake.
Luckily, there was no wind, and the surface of the lake was completely smooth.
Day 139 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
Now it is time to say goodbye to Fehmarn.
My two weeks are now over, and tomorrow I start my journey home to Bavaria.
For the last time, I visited the lighthouse Flügge at the southern beach of Fehmarn.
I was lucky, just as I was about to take the picture, a flock of wild geese passed the lighthouse. This gave the composition that specific something.
You have to be lucky!
Day 138 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
I took this photo on the Southwest beach of the island of Fehmarn.
I was awaiting the approaching sunset when I noticed the play of the waves with the stones on the beach.
Whenever the waves receded again, a spray with hundreds of bubbles formed, from which a wonderful painting emerged.
So I could not help but capture this painting in a painting!
Day 137 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
This time, another Sea view of the Isle of Fehmarn.
For this image, I visited the northern coast of Fehmarn. Long and empty beaches were inviting for endless walks.
There, you can feel the flair of the Baltic coastal landscapes, particularly intensively.
I especially liked the in the wind moving grass of the beach, which contributed to the idyllic atmosphere.
Day 136 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
This picture portrays the beauty of the Baltic Sea coast on the Isle of Fehmarn.
It is always fascinating what a calming and relaxing effect Coastal Landscape with its waves and sounds has on people.
I could walk for hours and hours along such beaches and not getting bored at all!
How about you?
Day 135 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
Today was my second last day on the island of Fehmarn, and I paid another visit to the Krummsteert-Sulsdorf Wiek.
This time I photographed the base of the waterfowl reserve, which is located at the beginning of the protected area.
I was most fascinated by the play of clouds and the movements of the high reed, which swayed back and forth in the strong wind.
Day 131 of my 365 Photo Challenge.
I am still staying on the island of Fehmarn. The weather is fantastic and invites you to do nature photography. I visited again the nature reserve “Wallgau” in the west of the island.
This time I concentrated on insects, where I caught this splendid specimen of an Admiral butterfly, which was busy grazing the autumn plants and flowers.
Fortunately for me, he always took long breaks on the flowers. So I had the time to choose an optimal angle for the shot.
I think I really succeeded with this shot!
